20th September 1947 Martin-Baker Meteor III   RAF Benson Mr. Keyes ejected at 200 m.p.h. A.S.I. at 4,500 ft. using No.1
drogue and No.5 release. Keyes baled out (from seat) too low. Chute developed as he landed. He
had lost his glasses on the ejection and was unable to correctly judge the height before he separated
from the manual seat
